Can Other Brand Brake Assemblies Replace 3,500 lb Dexter Assemblies
Question:
I have a 3500lb dexter axel that I need to replace an electric brake assembly. I have come down to I need part number 23-26 or 23-27. Question is I see you have other assemblies that fit a 10inch X 2 1/4inch drum can I use one of these as long as they can handle a 3500 lb axel?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The great thing about trailer brake assemblies is that they are all mostly interchangeable. So a 3,500 lb trailer brake assembly set like part # AKEBRK-35-SA would work well on your 3,500 lb Dexter axle.
