Does an Electric Trailer Brake Controller Drain a Vehicles Battery
Question:
Will this controller constant drain my Durangos battery when plugged in or do I need to unplug it when not in use?

A brake controller, like the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN # TK63VR , goes into a power-saving mode after being inactive for 15 minutes. It never turns completely off but is basically "asleep" and draws such little power when in this state that it would take months for the controller to drain your Durango's battery.
