Does the Head of the Reese Steadi-Flex Need Adjusted for Different Loads

Question:

I am looking at purchasing a Reese steadi Flex system for my 7 x 14 V nose enclosed trailer with steel frame.. I haul mostly a full dresser Harley which is 1000 lb and once in awhile two of them.. would I have to make adjustments on the head if I did put two in the trailer...

The head tilt adjustments on the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System are used to apply different amounts of tension to the spring bars. The tension on the spring bars will need to be adjusted accordingly to the trailer's tongue weight. Since the tongue weight of the trailer will change when you add or subtract your motorcycle(s), you will need to adjust them each time to ensure you are receiving the best performance from the system.

Please keep in mind that a weight distribution system will need to be rated for the total tongue weight which is the tongue weight of the loaded ready to tow trailer by any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. You are going to want the total tongue weight to fall in the middle of the weight distribution system's capacity. I have attached the varying capacities on the above system for you below.

250-400 lbs - part # 66557
400-600 lbs - part # RP66558
500-1,000 lbs - part # RP66559
600-1,200 lbs - part # RP66560
700-1,400 lbs - part # RP66561

The adjustments for head tilt procedures can be seen on page 5 in the owner's manual for the Reese Steadi-Flex. I have attached a review video of this system for you as well.
