Troubleshooting Ultra-Fab 4500 Electric Tongue Jack That Blinks and Does Not Operate
Question:
Light on jack keeps blinking , and jack wont work. Ultra fab 4500 tongue jack

The most probable cause for the lights on your Ultra-Fab electric tongue jack to blink, and for the jack not to operate, is a weak battery and/or grounding problem.
This jack grounds through its round mounting flange which contacts the trailer frame. These two mating surfaces must be clean bare metal, free of paint, rust, grease and dirt. Often the fix is simply to unbolt the jack and sand the bottom of the flange and the top of the mounting point on the trailer to expose bare metal. An application of dielectric grease like # 11755 will block out water and dirt from getting back into the space between the jack and the frame.
The other thing to check is the charge condition of your trailer battery (if it has one for the jack). A shore-power battery charger like # CTEK56353 is the best way to get a full charge into your battery or to recondition it using the built-in reconditioning program. If you power the jack from a vehicle battery through the 7-way connector then check all the plugs and sockets on the trailer and vehicle for signs of corrosion that could be blocking power from reaching the jack.
