Tips for Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring That Shorts Out only with One Tow Vehicle
Question:
I drive a 2011 Tacoma. My wiring has worked on every trailer I hook it to except my pop up camper. The trucks wiring is not the issue as far as I can tell. The weird part is the camper works on every other vehicle Ive hooked it up to, just not my truck. Every time I hook up to the camper which doesnt pull power for anything but lights it blows the 15a fuse.. but the fuse doesnt blow on any other trailer. The camper also doesnt blow fuses on anything else Ive hooked it to.. Please help

So there's something unique to the connection between your trailer and tow vehicle that pops the fuse. I don't know what fuse is blowing so I can't narrow it down that much but what you'll need to do is come up with why the vehicle trailer combination you have is unique which would cause the circuit to short out.
It could be the way the connectors fit each other or the trouble circuit is only active with that specific trailer and that's why it's a unique problem to it.
