While we don't have the 62990 wiring kit available on our site, based on my research, this looks to be a complete, universal 4-Way wiring kit that includes harnesses for both the trailer and tow vehicle. It sounds like you are having trouble installing the vehicle-end 4-Way on your Jeep.
Since this is a universal, hardwire harness, the best method for determining the correct wires to splice into on the Jeep is to simply test them with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. Since vehicle manufacturer's often change the wire coloring they use at the factory, going by color alone is not usually the best method. You can have a buddy sit in the Jeep and run through the lighting functions while you test the wires.
On your harness, the green wire will go to the right turn circuit wire on the Jeep and the yellow wire will go to the left turn circuit. The brown wire is for running lights and the white wire is for ground, which just needs to be connected to a clean, bare metal surface.
I have attached a great article on trailer wiring that you might also find helpful.
