How Much Does the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System # RP66558 Weigh
Question:
How heavy is the Reese 66558 WDS? I need to include this in the tongue weight total, correct?
asked by: John
Expert Reply:
The Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System # RP66558 has a shipping weight of 73 lbs so when you take away the packaging that leaves you with about 70 lbs.
Although it would seem that you would need to include the weight of the weight distribution system in your calculations you actually only need to add up the loaded tongue weight of your trailer as well as the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
As long as that total is within the 400 lb - 600 lb tongue weight range of the Steadi-Flex # RP66558 it will work great for you! Please note that a hitch ball like the 2" # 63845 or the 2-5/16" # 63847 is sold separately.
