Roof Basket Recommendation for Rhino Rack Roof Rack on 2015 Toyota Tundra With CrewMax Cab
Question:
I like the Thule Canyon roof basket # TH859XT but the question is, will my Crossbar Spread measurements work with it? will be installing it on a 2015 Toyota Tundra Crewmax. The The roof rack Im going with has 31.5inch Crossbar spread. Will this spread give me the full 150 pounds of evenly distributed weight or will I be restricted. Secondly Im considering the extension for the Thule as well, Ive looked at the install instructions and dont see a Crossbar spread recommendation for the THule basket with the extension installed. Can you please help me with these questions so that I can decide on my purchase path.

The Rhino Rack roof rack # RR74YR is an excellent choice for your 2015 Toyota Tundra with CrewMax cab. You won't have any problems spacing the crossbars in the range needed for the Thule Canyon Roof Basket # TH859XT. It will just need to be spaced between 20 inches and 37 inches. The weight capacity on the Thule Roof Basket # TH859XT is 150 pounds.
You can add the 20 inch extension part # TH8591XT the the Thule Canyon and still use the same spread and maintain the 150 lb weight capacity. There are also locks available in part # TH450400.
