How far down below the doors will the steps mount.

I spoke with my contact at Westin and he said that the Westin Platinum Series Oval Nerf Bars, part # 21-3560, on the 2011 Dodge Ram will use mounting brackets that attach on the underside of the vehicle, behind the rocker panels. These mounting brackets will hold the top of the oval nerf bar right at about the same height as the bottom edge of the vehicles rocker panels.

So if you measure from the door down to the bottom edge of the rocker panel it will give you the measurement of how far down below the door the nerf bars will be located.
