Does the Center Bar on Swagman XTC-2 Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Fold Down

Question:

The description of this rack says the vertical bar folds down for storage. If I put this on the back of my subaru outback wagon, after I take the bikes off can I easily fold the vertical bar flat to open the rear hatch that way avoiding the need for a tilting rack? Thx

The center bar on the Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack, # S64670, does fold flat to the left or right. With the bike removed and the center bar folded down you should be able to open the rear hatch on your Subaru Outback with no problem.
