Installing Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors on EZ Lube Spindle
Question:
I put bearing Buddies on my boat trailer recently. The hubs have grease fittings in the end of the hub. Should I remove these when using the Bearing Buddies? The Bearing Buddies are installed with the hub grease fittings still on there at the moment

Expert Reply:
You can certainly install a Bearing Buddy like # BB1980A-SS on a trailer like yours that is equipped with EZ lube spindles, but you will want to remove the zerk fitting before installing the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors. This grease zerk will prevent the Bearing Buddy from lubricating the hub properly.
