Will Longview Custom Towing Mirrors LVT-1800 Damage Factory Mirrors on a 2016 Chevy Silverado

you advertise padding to prevent chafing but reviews say its the products biggest flaw

The issue is that if you don't use the included padding towing mirrors # LVT-1800 could mar the surface of the stock mirrors. Also a lot depends on how often the mirrors are being used. The padding is not causing the problem. If anything there needs to be a tad bit more to account for mirrors that aren't installed as tightly as they need to be. Too much padding though and the mirrors will not fit over the stock housing. The mirrors currently have a stellar rating based on over 260 reviews.
