Leaf Spring Recommendation for Older Trailer with 30 inch Springs
Question:
Hello, Ive enjoyed the wealth of information youve posted and that leads me to my question. I have an 1972 travel trailer in need of leaf springs. Ive followed the instructions for measuring the springs and am having trouble finding a replacement. The spring measurements are: A and B are 16. C=30 1/2, D=1. The springs are a double-eye type with a width of 1 3/4.inch The trailer empty weighs approx 1500lbs dry weight. Can you help me find a suitable substitute? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
30 inch long leaf springs are longer than what we have replacements for so the only option we'd have would be for you to move your hangers and go with a properly rated leaf spring for the axle capacity.
For a similar rated leaf spring we have the part # e77SR which will work great as it is for a 2k axle and the springs are 1-3/4 inch wide like you have as well.
