Can 550 lb Tongue Weight Blue Ox Weight Distribution System be Upgraded To Heavier Spring Bars
Question:
I have a blue ox 0550 hitch and bought a bigger camper. The camper guy says I just need to upgrade the spring bars. Is this correct or does the hitch part need upgrade also.

Expert Reply:
The Sway Pro systems from the highest to the lowest rated all use the same weight distribution head. To change the weight rating of the system, you'd simply swap out the spring bars.
For up to 750 lb tongue weight we have the part # BXW4006 or for up to 1,000 lbs # BXW4007.
