The wall thickness of the steel used in the shank on the Lets Go Aero TwinTube U-Build-It Slide-Out Hitch Rack # HMK901 is between 1/8 and 3/16 of an inch.
The tubes it slides on are at approximately 1/8 inch thick maximum. There can be some slight differences from one to the next due to the thickness of the powder coat.
