Can the Trunk Be Opened on a 2017 Toyota Camry with Thule OutWay Installed

I have a 17 Camry. Can the TH45JV once mounted can the trunk be open ?

The Thule OutWay 2-Bike Rack part # TH45JV which is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Toyota Camry will not allow you to access the truck while installed. This is the same for all of our trunk mounted bike racks because of the obvious interference issue in addition to the weight that the carrier has on the trunk. We actually have a video of this rack installed on a similar 2017 Toyota Camry which I have attached for you if you would like additional information.

The only option we have for you to haul your bikes and gain access to the trunk without having to remove the rack would be with a trailer hitch and hitch mounted bike rack or a roof rack and roof mounted bike rack. If you would like for me to recommend any parts for either of these options then please let me know and I would be happy to do so.

However, the OutWay is relatively easy to take on and off the vehicle and it is very light at only 21 lbs.
