Can One Towing System Tow Both Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Trailers

Can a B n W gooseneck hitch be installed in a 2016 GMC 3500 truck bed that has had a 5th wheel hitch removed?

You can install a B&W gooseneck hitch like # BWGNRK1016 in your 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 if the 5th wheel hitch installation kit (not just the hitch itself) has been removed. If there is still an under-bed 5th wheel install kit or an above-bed rail kit installed then a second (gooseneck) set-up cannot also be installed at the same time.
There is a way to tow both types of trailer with one set-up. The B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch uses a gooseneck hitch as its installation kit. For gooseneck towing just drop in the hitch ball; for 5th wheel towing remove the gooseneck ball and drop in the Companion hitch, such as # BWRVK3500.
If your 3500 is a long bed without the factory rail kit you can use install kit (and gooseneck hitch) # BWGNRK1016-5W and the 20K-rated 5th wheel Companion hitch # BWRVK3500-5W and be able to tow both types of trailer.
