Thule Doubletrack # TH92BJ vs. Swagman Chinook # S64683
Question:
Im wondering which is better for my BMW x3 The Thule Doubletrack or the Swagman Chinook - I have 2 mountain bikes with a combined weight of close to 70lbs. I see the Thule has max carrying weight of 70lbs while the Swagman has max carrying weight of 90 lbs. Which rack do you think is better? thank you,

The real benefits that you get from the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT # TH92BJ is that it weighs 32 lbs, it is made right here in the USA, and the trays are a little more customizable since they are on their own "tracks".
If you don't mind the extra 15 lbs of the Swagman Chinook # S64683 and you are able to utilize the wheel trays just fine (which typically isn't a problem) then I recommend the Chinook. It is at a lower price point, comes with everything that the Doubletrack does, has the higher weight capacity and can accommodate wheelbases up to 50" as opposed to the 46-1/2" that the Chinook offers.
Attached are some review videos if you needed to see some of the features in action.
