The opening or knuckle of a slipper spring will need to be facing the rear of your trailer. If the opening is facing the front of the trailer then you are going to experience excessive bouncing and a ride that would be very rough. Therefore, I do recommend changing the leaf springs around. In order to do this you are more than likely going to need new leaf spring hangers.
I have attached a link with a selection of our leaf spring hangers for you. You will need to filter by width and height to choose the best match for your trailer.
