Recommended Roof Mount Bike Rack for Use with Thule Square Crossbars

Hi... I currently have Thule Square Bars and usually only mount a canoe or whitewater kayaks to the roof. I am now looking for bike carriers to put on the roof but all that I find seem to be for T-slots roof racks, like the aerobar or stock Volkswagen rack. Is there an adapter that will let me use T-slot bike carrier on the Thule square bars I already have, or do I need to change the rack type? I have been looking but am not sure about the adapters that I have found for 100 sure... is there a part you can point me to that would let me do this? Thank you!

Almost all of the rooftop mounted bike racks we carry that work with t-slots will also work with standard crossbars. There are very few roof mounted bike racks that work exclusively with t-slots. For the square Thule crossbars you have now, I recommend taking a look at either the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack part # TH598004 or the Thule UpRide Roof Bike Rack part # TH599000.

The ProRide is a frame mount rack and the UpRide is a wheel mount rack. The ProRide will be physically lighter and a bit easier to use but the UpRide is going to be more secure as it grips the bike by multiple points. They both have a 44 lb weight capacity and will accept up to a 3" wide tire. You will not need an adapter to use either of these with your square crossbars.
