How to Wire Two 6 Volt Trailer Batteries Together so that the Output is 12 Volts
Question:
I read your post about connecting the 12-volt tongue jack to two 6 volt batteries. You are stating to Simply Connected to one of the positive terminals on one of the batteries. I did that and have the batteries wired in series but it is not working. The batteries have to be in series in order to provide 12 volt to the trailer. How would I connect it to the batteries to get 12 volts and not only 6 off of the one.

If the batteries are wired in series, the positive terminal of one battery will be connected to the negative terminal of the other. This would double the output of the batteries, assuming each battery is a 6 volt, wiring the batteries in series would provide 12 volts of output.
I attached a picture that shows the way two batteries are typically wired together.
