Using Trailer Valet To Move Trailer To Cement Pad Next To Driveway
Question:
I have a camper RV which has a dry weight of 5,526 and a hitch weight of 620-650. I want to park on a cement pad next to my driveway. The pad itself is flat but there is a slight incline up the driveway. I need or would like some sort of dolly to be able to maneuver the RV. I would get the RV close with my truck but would need a dolly to finish the move to get close to garage. The wheels of the RV would be on the flat cement slab but the hitch would still be on the slight incline. Also, when taking trailer, I would like to use the dolly to pull the RV out from the side of the garage so it gets past the corner of garage before I hook to truck. Im looking at the Trailer Valet XL but not sure if you have anything else. The few questions I have are: 1. Do you have anything other than the Trailer Valet XL? 2. Does the cranking either hand or drill work good to move the weight of my RV? Including the slight incline? 3. Does the Trailer Valet XL perform well in Grass or does in need the hard cement?

The Trailer Valet V2 Trailer Dolly like part # TVXL25 is the only product that we have that is rated to handle above 600 lbs in tongue weight.
The drill is meant to be used on flat ground only. Using the drill on an incline poses safety issues and can very quickly burn out the drill if given too much torque. Use the hand crank on an incline. As long as the weight of the trailer plus tongue are within the weight capacity for the XL, and as long as your incline is less than 10 degrees, the hand crank could push his trailer up the slope as long as the user is strong enough to push the trailer up the small incline. # TVXLV2 has a tongue weight capacity up 1,000 lbs
The XL will not perform optimally in grass, however if it is tightly packed soil it could work. If you need to put the XL on grass, I advise lying down sheets of plywood so the unit's tires have the best traction.
Let me know if you have any more questions, or if you need clarification on anything.
