Can the Kuat Sherpa be Used on a Motorhome/RV
Question:
Why does the description indicate that it is not usable with motorhomes/RVs?

I do have a solution for you, but Kuat doesn't rate any of their bike racks, including the Sherpa 2.0 # SH22G, for use on a motorhome. When I spoke with my contact he said that about the biggest vehicle they will still cover warranty claims on is a Sprinter.
Some bikes racks cannot handle the extra stress of movement on a motorhome/RV because the trailer hitch sits much further back from the rear axle. This causes much more motion which can damage bike racks if they haven't been tested and approved for this use.
For a similar bike rack from Thule that is rated for a motorhome/RV we have the T2 Pro XTB # TH83JV. This is a wheel mount platform rack that has tilting and folding features as well as bike and rack locks. It can carry up to 2 bikes weighing 60 lbs each and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
A more economical option would be the similar Swagman Escapee # S94FR which has the same features minus the tilting. If you only plan on using the bike rack for your motorhome and you won't need to tilt, then I recommend the E-spec. However, if you plan on using the bike rack with your passenger vehicle as well, then the T2 Pro is the winner.
Product review videos for the bike racks have been linked for you to reference as well.
