Should Radial Tires be Used to Replace Bias Tires
Question:
I have a utility trailer i use to haul around 2 atvs. The tires on it are a d13. Would it be better to stick with a d tire or would it be fine going to an r tire?

Expert Reply:
Your D13 tires are bias tires which have a stiffer sidewall than radial tires. This makes them ideal for off-road and agricultual trailers but not for highway use. If your trailer is mostly towed on paved roads I recommend going with a radial.
Radial tires flex more and have better ground contact. This causes them to last longer and wear better. I've linked our selection of radials for 13 inch rims. My recommendation is part # TTWTRTM1758013C because it also has the higher 81 mph speed rating.
