The Hopkins Adapter, part # HM47570, is an adapter for your tow vehicle that will allow you to change out your 7-Way connector on your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 to a connector that will accept 4-Way, 5-Way, and 6-Way trailer connectors. It will not work to convert your combined tail lights on your tow vehicle to separate tail lights on your Dodge Sprinter.

The wiring harness you will need to convert from the combined tail light system on your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 to a separate tail light system on the 2006 Dodge Sprinter is the RoadMaster Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154, along with the Tow Ready Vehicle to Vehicle Taillight Converter, part # 118158, and 2 additional RoadMaster Hy-Power Diodes, part # RM-792. This wiring harness and converter with extra diodes will let you retain the separate turn and brake signals on the Sprinter.

I am including a video link to the RoadMaster wiring kit # RM-154 being installed on a 2011 Chevrolet HHR. The vehicle is different but the wiring principle is the same.

Also, I am including a link to a FAQ page that will describe how to wire your towed vehicle for combined or separate taillight wiring.
