Is it Safe to Use the Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack at Speeds Over 70 Miles Per Hour
Question:
I am looking for the bike rack that can hold four bikes for my Toyota Rav4 2015. I am doing some research. I am concerned about the interstate part if driving over 70mph. Will it be safe? which racks do you recommend? Thank you for your time.

The Yakima FullTilt 4 Bike Rack # Y02458 loaded or unloaded will be perfectly fine at 70 miles per hour or more. Of course Yakima and etrailer do urge you to follow the posted speed limit! The bike rack will not be subjected to much wind since it is behind the vehicle.
And if any parts of the bikes stick out wider than the vehicle it would be the tires which, due to the design of bike wheels, do not have a lot of surface area to catch the wind. For your situation this is a great option and I would recommend it for you. I have linked a video review of this bike rack for you.
