Is the 6.5” the usable area between pins? Or is it overall Length? Replacement Pivot Pin for Fulton Coupler Hinge Kits - 5/8inch x 6-1/2inch Long # F500336

The usable length of the Fulton replacement pivot pin, part # F500336, is about 5-7/8 inches from my measurement. The 6-1/2 inches is from the stop on the ring side all the way to very end on the other.
