Recommendation for Extending Cab Clearance on 2008 Ford F-250 with Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
I have a 2008 f250 short bed extended cab truck with a bandw turn over ball and when pulling my older horse trailer the trailer is close to the bumper of the truck i am able to pull it just fine my concern is the clearance of the neck and cab when making turns . I was wonder what the best way to shift the trailer back from the truck would be either the bandw extended ball or the bandw extend a neck ?

To gain more cab clearance on your 2008 Ford F-250 when making turns with your gooseneck trailer, I recommend going with the B&W Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085. This will work perfectly with your existing Turnoverball hitch and will provide an additional 4 inches of space between the cab and trailer. The main difference between this unit and the B&W Extend-A-Goose Coupler # BWTEXA4200 that you also mentioned, and why I recommend the Offset Ball, is that the Offset ball will actually move the pivot point back 4 inches. The Extend-A-Goose Coupler does provide an extra 10 inches of clearance when towing straight, but because the coupler will still pivot at the ball, this clearance is reduced when making sharp turns, which is exactly when you need it.
I have attached a short video demonstration on the Offset Ball that you can also check out.
