How Does the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Remove from the Swagman XC Platform Bike Rack
Question:
I have a 2011 Nissan Cube. I purchased a Draw-Tite Class I hitch, #24845. I also purchased a Swagman xc 2-bike bike rack. I had them both installed at the Nissan dealer. I cannot remove the rack from the hitch. It is so tight the car moves while trying to remove it. It has not been removed since installation. They the dealer suggested removing it by pounding it out, placing an object in the receiver and hitting the end of it with a hammer. This is not the soution I am looking for when trying to repeatedly remove my bike rack. There also seems to be no threads on the bike rack portion to attach the anti rattle lock that I purchased. Please help! I have used the rack and I love it. I would just like to be able to remove it.Could you please tell me what needs to be done. They suggest shaving the rack tube down so that it fits. I do not want to alter it and then have it too loose for the receiver. Thank you,

Something is definitely not right with your setup if when the hitch pin is removed you cannot remove the bike rack from your hitch. It sounds like there must be some debris that has pinned the rack to the hitch. It may take a little coercing, but once you get the rack out of the hitch you will want to inspect the hitch and rack for anything that might be causing the rack to fit so tightly into the hitch.
I would also measure the hitch opening and the rack diameter and compare the two measurements to make sure that the rack should slide into the hitch.
