How to Install the Tekonsha Wiring Adapter Part # 3035-P on a 2018 Ford Explorer
Question:
I just get the Tekonsha Plugin wiring adapter 3035P for my 2018 Ford Explorer but the one on my Ford Explorer is a little bit small so the 3035P won’t fix in it. Any suggestions? Thanks

The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3035-P is a confirmed fit for a 2018 Ford Explorer. There are two ends on the adapter. A large square end with 6 pins that goes to the harness on the vehicle and a small rectangular end with 4 pins that goes to the controller.
The brake adapter port that you will plug this into is located under the driver dash panel usually around where the emergency brake would be. If the plug-in you found does not fit the harness then it is more than likely the incorrect port. There are several of these ports under the dash. The one you need could have a plug or taped to an existing harness. You will just need to keep looking until you find the one that matches the 6-pin square plug on the adapter harness.
