Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2002 Ford Super Duty
Question:
I have two Ford trucks 2002 F250 shortbed and F350 longbed and want a hide-away 5th wheel hitch for both. For one of them I have a BandW gooseneck, and Im planning on getting a 2nd BandW gooseneck for the 2nd truck. Id like to have a single BandW 5th wheel hitch I can use on either truck. Ive read up on the Companion series and it looks like I want a slider due to the different bed lengths. However, Im a bit confused on which models I should be looking at. Should I be getting the BWRVK3400-5W? Will that work with both bed lengths? I believe the slider is made to do that, but when I bring up my long bed on your site, this model doesnt come up at all.

You are on the right track and have a great idea/setup in mind. For the B and W rail kit for the one truck you'd need the part # BWGNRK1108 which gives you the base for the Slider Companion hitch part # BWRVK3400-5W that you mentioned.
For the short bed truck you'd need to use the slider to allow you turning clearance and then for the long bed truck you'd just need to leave the hitch slid forward at all times.
