Recommended Replacement Tires for 8 x 14.5 Heavy Trailer Tires

Question:

I have a small pick up trailer and who ever built it put a trailer house axle on it. The heavy trailer tires make it ride really rough. Wondering if you have a tire 8 x 14.5 pickup tire that would fit and ride better? The maximum load on this trailer is 500-700 pounds. Thanks.

We do not carry 8 X 14.5 tires. They had a section width of 8 inches and an outer diameter or 27.7 inches.

My recommendation for lighter tires to run smoother are to change to 15-inch rims and load rand D tires. For this combination, I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Vesper White Spoke Wheel # TA23MR. These combinations are rated for 3,070 lbs at 116 psi and speeds up to 81 mph. They will have a very similar diameter of 27.17 inches and width of 7.99 inches. They come with a 2-year warranty that includes roadside assistance.
