Can a Weigh Safe Ball with Scale be Used in a Curt Weight Distribution System
Question:
Can I use a Weigh Safe Universal Tow Ball in a Curt MV #17057? How do I install it?
asked by: Mike B
Expert Reply:
No, you would have to use a regular ball with Curt weight distribution system # C17057. There isn't enough space for the scale part of the Weigh Safe ball to fit in the lower part of a weight distribution system head and also the ball is not designed for use with weight distribution. You could instead get a separate tongue weight scale, # e99044.
For a ball that will fit the Curt system you can use # 40038 for a 2 inch or # C40030 for a 2-5/16 inch.
