Will the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Fit a Ford Escape with a Roof Mounted Bike Rack

Question:

URGENT! My son has new bike rack mounted on top of Ford Escape heading to college, trying to find out if the Yakima Rocket Box will fit on roof WITH bike rack also? Novice, have no idea, looking online, not sure .... thanks!

First, you will need to measure the usable length of the crossbars that run side to side. Then subtract the amount of space used by the bike rack. Finally, if the space that is left over is more than 33 inches, you will be able to use the Yakima RocketBox Pro, # Y07192, at the same time as the bike rack.

You will need to determine the weight capacity of the rack and roof and stay under which ever is lower. The rack may have a sticker on it somewhere and you can check the owners manual to find the roof capacity.
