Recommended Tuner and Cat Back Exhaust for 2016 GMC 1500 5.3L

Question:

Cold Air intake, CAT Back Exhaust, plus programming chip. Id really like to put these items in my truck, 2016 GMC 5.3L 1500. But doesnt these items affect the oxygen sensors feed back as well as the Catalytic converters life expectancy?

On your 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 with 5.3L, the addition of cold air intake and programming chip won't change the life expectancy of your catalytic converters or the oxygen sensors. The oxygen sensors will have the parameters changed slightly by the tuner, but nothing that will be noticeable in life expectancy.

For your vehicle, we unfortunately don't have a confirmed fit at this time for a cold air intake system.

For a tuner, I recommend the Edge EvoHT2 Hand-Held Performance Tuner # EP26040 or the touch screen version # EP39YR which will add up to 18 horsepower and up to 27 foot-lbs torque to your truck.

The cat back exhaust system will depend on the cab and bed size of your truck. For instance, for the regular cab and 6-1/2 foot bed, I recommend the MagnaFlow # MF15278 because I like the look of the straight pipes and they allow a little better breathing on the back side in theory. I've linked the page to your options to assist. If you'd like a recommendation, let me know that information and I'd be happy to assist.
