Softening the Ride of an RV on a 1988 GMC P30 Chassis

Question:

Hi, I was looking into your Timbren rear suspension enhancement bolt on, no drilling required. Which says it might fit my 1988 p30 chassis motorhome? Ive noticed some people in the reviews say it is very rough on trucks went not loaded, but if installed in my motorhome would it make it smoother driving experience? Since its basically carrying around its own weight.

Timbren springs do have the reputation for creating a stiffer ride. The best solution to soften up the ride is to use air bags. For the front axle on your 1988 GMC P30 chassis you can use # AL81560. For the rear use # AL57203 (Note: Designed for vehicles with a GVWR less than 14,500 lbs.)

Then you could add a dual path compressor system, # AL25856, so you can adjust the air pressure from the comfort of the vehicle cab. A dual path would be needed since the front and rear air bags have different psi requirements.
