Changing a 2017 Nissan Frontier Factory 7-Way to a 7- and 4-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
I already have an existing 7 blade connector installed factory. Is the only way to get this connected to the existing stock wiring to purchase the tekonsha t-one connector and harness? then just use this connector instead with their wiring?

Expert Reply:
Check the back of your factory 7-Way on your 2017 Nissan Frontier. If you can pull the wiring harness off of the back of it and it looks like # HM40950 on the inside where that harness plugs in then you can just swap out your 7-Way with # HM40950. I have included a picture showing the back, inside of connector # HM40950.
Otherwise you would have to use # 118266 and replace the 7-Way with # HM40950.
