How long are the rods? how big of a door will this latch?

On the Polar T-Handle Latch # PLR5710 the two connecting rods are each 48-inches long. This item can be used on any size or weight of door. My contact at Polar confirmed it is not rated for any specific weight nor size door. It can be used in any application where the 48-inch rods will work.
