Could Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent # 9106-2756 Install in Ford Transit Connect Van
Question:
I plan to get a Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van later this year, the one with the rear windows replaced with sheet-metal for security and privacy. I plan to travel around the USA in this van for film and photography and sleep in the back. The problem I have is ventilation. The redline 2 way-pop up is the best solution I can come up with for passive ventilation. I’d like to install two of them in the side of the vans, towards the rear, on top of the sheel-metal windows. When i went to the dealer to look at the van, the sheet-metal feels thin - perhaps i could even dent it without too hard of a punch. Do you think it’s possible to put these redline vents over this sheet-metal or would it be too thin and not work. FYI, I don’t want to put it on the roof. Let me know if you have any thoughts or solutions to adding passive ventilation like the redline to the sheet-metal window area in the rear!

I don't see any reason you couldn't use the Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent with Garnish for Enclosed Trailers # 9106-2756 in the metal window panels of your Ford Transit Connect. People install these on similar surfaces pretty frequently without issue. You'd just have to be careful installing it. Having a vent on either side of the van open will allow a bit of a breeze to pass through
