Modifications to Hummer H3 to Install Curt Front Receiver Part # 31270
Question:
I was wondering when you mount this product do you have to permanently remove any of the guards or any other pieces of trim? Does it change the look of the vehicle other than the hitch itself?

According to the install instructions for the Curt Front Mounted Receiver part # 31270, the only permanent modification that would need to be made to the H3 would be the removal of the aluminum skid plate under the front of the vehicle.
The instruction sheet has a cross-sectional diagram that shows the position of the receiver in relation to the front fascia. The receiver opening would be directly under the fascia, and the receiver and the crossbar behind it would be visible from the front of the vehicle.
