Best Way to Carry Two Bikes on a 1997 Chinook Motorhome

Question:

I have a 1997 Chinook RV which is built on a Ford E 350. The Chinook has a centerline back door and steps so I am looking for a front mounted bike rack. for two bikes. What recommendations do you have? Thank you.

In order to attach a bike rack to the front of your 1997 Chinook Motorhome you are first going to need a front mounted trailer hitch receiver. For this, I recommend the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65001 which is a confirmed fit for the Ford E-350 chassis that your Chinook is on.

Then for a two bike carrier, I recommend the Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack part # S64670 which is a good option that works with most types of bikes. This rack has a lifetime warranty and comes with an anti-rattle hitch pin. The upright arms have a soft padding to protect the bikes frame and can be folded down for storage while not in use.

I have attached a review video on the rack and install video on the hitch for you as well.
