Troubleshooting Prodigy P3 Electric Trailer Brake Controller that has a Blank Screen

Question:

I purchased a Tekonsha P3 trailer brake controller 6/20/2017. It installed quickly and worked great last summer. I hooked the trailer up today and the controller lights up but the screen is blank, and dosent work.

Has the Prodigy P3, part # 90195, been installed in the tow vehicle full time? If so it probably needs to be reset. Unplug the controller from power (Disconnect the black wire if it's hardwired) and leave it powered completely off for 15 to 20 minutes.

When you turn off the vehicle the controller doesn't turn completely off it goes into a "sleep mode". If you haven't used it inawhile a reset is probably all you need. If this doesn't solve the issue, or if you've already tried it, let me know and we'll look into bigger problems. Hopefully, you won't need that though and it's simple.
