How to Determine Functions of Unknown Wire Colors on Trailer
Question:
I have a led tail light with red, green, and black wires coming out of it. How to hook up to boat trailer with red and brown wires on right and yellow and brown wires on left?

All of those colors mentioned are not standard to what trailer's typically have so you are going to have to find out the hard way what each wire carries and wire accordingly. LED lights simply don't work if they are wired wrong so you'll have to use a vehicle battery to experiment with the wires of the light to find out which wire carries running light and stop turn.
Next you'll have to use a circuit tester like part # 3808 to test the wires on your trailer to find out which circuits are carried on each wire and then wire accordingly.
