Recommended Two Bike Platform-Style Bike Rack for Hebb Electric Bikes

Question:

Im trying to find a hitch mount,tray style, 2-bike rack that can haul 2 Hebb electric bikes They both weigh 59 lbs. with batteries I like the Swagman XTC2 But weight limits say 35 lbs. per bike . Could I get by using this with my bikes? Thanks

I cannot recommend using the Swagman XTC-2 for your application, as the weight of your bikes is 43 lbs over the recommended weight capacity. Overloading the rack can lead to damage to the hitch and the vehicle, as well as the loss of the rack and the bikes.

The Yakima HoldUp, part # Y02443 offers a 120 lb weight capacity, and would be a much safer alternative.

For womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # Y02531 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike is not carried at an angle.
