Is the Convert-A-Ball Adapter Good to Tow a 13K Trailer with a Chevy 1 Ton

Question:

Im sure youve been asked this many times before but Im debating on purchasing a convert-a-ball goose neck adapter to our fifth wheel. We have a larger tri-axle toy hauler, 13k dry weight. The truck im using is a 1 ton, Chevrolet with a flat bed. Currently we have a Goose neck ball mounted in the access hatch and ideally i would like to use that. Im just hesitant go this route and know that I will be happy with my purchase. I also have a goose neck trailer that i still will need from time to time. If I decide on a fifth wheel, im guessing it will be a custom installation to support a set of rails to make it work with the flat bed. I guess Im trying to convince myself that the Convert-a-ball or similar will suffice for this heavy camper. Any advice is appreciated.

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G you referenced is a great option for your situation. It has 12" - 16" of adjustable height and it has been rated to tow up to 20,000 lbs. As long as your loaded toy hauler doesn't weight more than 20,000 lbs then you are definitely good to go. If you are hesitant about the quality of the adapter I encourage you to take a look at the numerous reviews on this product. It has over 350 and nearly every one of them give it 5 stars!

The best part about this adapter is that you won't have to take any adapters out of the bed of your pickup when you need to tow your gooseneck trailer.

Attached are some videos for you to reference.
