Installing Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 36379 on 2006 Chevy Malibu Maxx
Question:
you can see it in your video at the beginning I think is on the drivers side, apparently no one has had an issue with it. covers the top of the hole for one of the arms. I can pull it down and slide the arm under. not sure if that is good though since the brake line seems to be plastic.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36379 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2006 Chevy Malibu Maxx. It sounds like you might be referring to the fuel filler tube on the vehicle that might be in the way to gain proper clearance to access the hole on the frame rail. If this is the case, you will simply need to temporarily lower the tube during installation. This is perfectly fine to do.
