Hub and Drum Assemblies for etrailer Electric Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA

Question:

I just upgraded to 3500# axle. It is as stock 2200# Can I add the brake kit without buying new hubs? Or do the work with the kit. They are 13” wheels on there too. Thanks

In order to use electric brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA your trailer would need to have 10 inch hub and drum assemblies and the axles would have to have brake mounting flanges on them. They may have brake mounting flanges. On a 3.5K axle the brake mounting flange would be a 4-bolt square like in the picture I have included.

If you do not have 10 inch hub and drum assemblies you could use # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K for an EZ Lube axle (grease fittings at the ends) or # AKHD-545-35-K for a non-EZ Lube axle.
