CIPA Towing Mirror Recommendation for a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer With Puddle Lights
Question:
We have a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer with the puddle lights on the underside of the mirror. Will these mirrors 11953 work with our vehicle? If not which mirror would you recommend?

The CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part # 11953, is a universal fit towing mirror. You will need to measure your factory mirrors to know if these mirrors will work on your 2007 Mercury Mountaineer.
The CIPA mirrors will work on most 7 inch to 10 inch tall mirrors. The mirrors on your vehicle will need to have an outer plastic housing that is separate from the actual mirror, for it to work. The clips on the tow mirror will connect to the plastic housing of your factory mirror, and the strap crosses the back of the mirror to clamp the towing mirror to your vehicles mirror.
There is a chance that the puddle lights might get covered up by the strap of this mirror once installed, but it should not interfere with the installation of this product on your vehicle.
I am including a video link of the CIPA mirrors being installed on a truck.
