Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2016 Honda Pilot EX

I am looking to buy a trailer hitch and wiring for a 2016 Honda Pilot EX, but I am unsure of the wiring that I need. How do I know if I need a 3-way, 7-way, etc? Thank you,`

Starting with the hitch I recommend the etrailer # e98840 for your 2016 Honda Pilot, which is a Class III, 2" hitch that is a complete bolt-on installation so no drilling in your Honda's frame will be necessary.
As far as wiring, it is going to depend on if your Pilot has the factory tow package or not. It is likely you would know this if you did, but if you are unsure you can contact your Honda dealer with your VIN to find out. If you do have the tow package you would need wiring harness # 118286; if not, you will need a 4-way # 118760.
Since you are going to be towing, I also recommend Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
