Reese Strait-Line Not Working Properly After Installing Air Bags on a 2016 Ford F-150
Question:
Not sure if you guys are able to provide the answer to this but, I purchased and installed the Reese Straight Line Weight distribution hitch from etrailer and it initially worked fantastically. I recently installed air bags onto the rear of my Ford F150 and ever since then there has been minimal tension on the trunnion bars even when I max adjusted the chains and on one side, there is actually no tension on the bar at all I can rattle it around when I push on it. What adjustments to the hitch setup would you suggest?

In the installation instructions (page 2) for the Reese Strait-Line systems, like part # RP66074, it states that when used with air bags you need to inflate the air bags on your 2016 Ford F-150 so that it sits level when fully loaded but before coupling your trailer.
After you couple your trailer to your pickup then you want to install the WD system so that it picks up any additional slack. If you aren't following this procedure it might be the reason why you are having issues.
Let me know if that doesn't work and I can help you troubleshoot further.
